Yay, another song I hadn't heard - I've only listened to the first twistin the rock cd of hers. Absolutely gorgeous. I love her sultry voice, and she's one incredibly sexy-looking chick. You're so right - it seems like she should have been as megafamous as Bardot and Francoise!

really nice, thank you!

Gillian Hills is wonderful. Thank you.

Question: I've seen you reference her English songs a few times now. Would it be possible to coax a few of these tracks out of you? With the exception of "Tomrorrow is Another Day," I've only heard her excellent French work.

(For what it's worth, I have the little French double comp that came out a little while ago.)

She only recorded 2 songs in English (tomorrow is another day and look at them). A fabulous person sent me 'look at them' recently, and i will share it on blowupdoll sometime in the future.

I have the double cd too, and the only songs i really like are 'rentre sans moi' and 'rien n'est changé'.

'rentre sans moi' and 'rien n'est changé' are my two favourite Gillian Hills songs too, especially 'rien n'est changé' which is so Francoise Hardy. It's a pity she didn't become famous, cos she seemed to be a good songwriter. A lot of the songs on disc 2 of the Twistin the Rock cd were penned by her, and I thought they were fab.

Congratulations by the way, on winning the bag of hair from Jonathan 'Whateva Sista' Cook.

Everyone was so envious!

Of course the Zombies original is great too!

Hi Pip,
I haven't heard the Zombies original version- if you have a copy get in touch- i'd love to hear it.

I've found the Zombies version called 'leave me be' which is good- but of course not as good as gillians version!

Ah, I was convinced somehow that she had sung in Beat Girl, but she never did! (Fabulous soundtrack though.)

But boy, she was terrific.
